My crazy world
Somehow between two jobs, school, and the crazy dogs (not to mention finding brief moments to commiserate with LHPJ), I haven't been finding much time to blog as of late.
Work is going well. Johnstown is exciting as always. Today (not a normal UPMC work-day) I start training the person who is going to be taking over for me at UPMC. I don't have class this evening, but do have a lecture to attend instead. Class ends officially in 3.5 weeks. Of course, I will be doing two practica this summer, so it won't be much of a break.
Sadie starts puppy school soon. We just have to decide when and where. I need to take and post more pictures...
Sadly, this is about the extent of my exciting news for the moment. Actually, I'm really just hungry; I have to go eat my lunch. :)
Good way to start the week
This morning on the turnpike, I saw a semi towing a trailor with a GIANT cow statue on it. In front of the cow was a GIANT tub of Neopolitan ice cream. GIANT cow and GIANT ice cream rolling down the highway at 65 mph...not something you see every day.
In addition, I was reading the bottle of the fruit smoothie that I had for breakfast this morning and had to share the description with everyone, as I was highly amused. This is off the bottle of the Mighty Mango fruit smoothie from the company Naked (there's an accent over the "e", but I don't know how to do that in blogger!):
Antiox Mango Fruit Tango
This ambrosial smoothie begs of thoughts of far away beaches and lush tropical islands. What might not come to mind is the treasure-trove of antioxidants - nature's elite force against free radicals (the molecules that trash your cells like rockstars trash hotel rooms). But enough of that self-repair stuff. Just think palm trees and scantily-clad natives.
I'm not sure which is funnier, the thing about rockstars or the scantily clas natives. :)

Spring Break
So tomorrow my spring break comes to an end. I still worked the same number of hours this week, and on one of my days off I still had to go somewhere and do something for class. But, I had no classes in the evening and no deadlines to meet. I did some work, but not much. Mostly, I spent time with the dogs and with LHPJ (sadly more time was spent with the dogs than with LHPJ). More days off would be good. Please???
*sigh*
Monday it all begins again, with work and then my favorite class ever, statistics. woo freakin' whoo.
And now, I'm off to enjoy my Saturday night...
There's something to like about everyone
Okay, so normally, I would be the last person to say anything positive about Barry Bonds - I make it now secret that I'm not a big fan. However, I think that
this impersonation deserves a little credit. I was amused. Barry has just moved up the ladder ahead of A-Rod for that one. Mad props, Barry.
